Accompanied by some officers from the ministry, the CS warned the NTSA officers against the practice which has boosted the ease of car theft in the country over the past few months. It’s is however expected that some officers will be thrown out of the road agency as a result of the Directorate of Criminal investigation efforts to expose those involved with the practices.

In earlier cases, the DCI officers have exposed and taken to custody corrupt offices from the same road agency after they were charged with changing vehicle ownership to a loan from a credit facility. The criminal investigations efforts have led to exposure of a well organized syndicate of hard to trace individuals including officers from the agency.

The officers have however distanced themselves from the claims saying, their systems were used without their consent. The CS however says more efforts have been inculcated to bring out the culprits and bring to an end to the rising cases of fake logbooks.
